lazy

autumn_fruit2.jpgGot up so late today, it was half over before it began.

M is just cooking up some tea - lamb kebabs with salad. He is a great cook, and one day, when we buy a digital camera, I'll be able to photo-log his cooking exploits. He is quite the Jamie Oliver (and cute to boot!).

Meanwhile, we've been enjoying some Autumn fruits of late, like delicious golden pears.

JABookClub.jpgAutumn is such a comfortable time of year, it really has a 'nesting' feeling about it and so enjoying a good book or two makes me cheerful. Yesterday during our weekly shop M and I stopped into Borders to choose a couple of things and two books caught my eye. I have a bit of a Jane Austen hankering at the moment - nice gentle stories before sleep are the best! So I am re-reading Northanger Abbey, and also picked up The Jane Austen Book Club. Will let you know how I go with them.

I read Jane Austen Book Club while holidaying in Fiji a few weeks ago. It was OK (and that's a compliment I think!!). It was not as good as I thought it would be. Especially not as good as a novel by Jane Austen herself!
Be interested to see what you thought.

Hey! I have to say I feel the same way about Jane Austen Book club, I was expecting it to be a bit more charming ... there's something so dignified and beautifully written but yet funny and affecting about a real Austen! Never mind, it wasn't too bad :)
